Match Ratings - Kilmarnock 2 - 1 Rangers

WES FODERINGHAM - 6

No chance for the goal, spread himself well but Burke's finish was right in the bottom corner. Did well to smother a Mulumbu chance in the second half before going off injured.

JON FLANAGAN - 5

Was OK without being hugely involved.

JOE WORRALL - 5

Doesn't like this pitch at all? Or maybe just doesn't like the way we play on it. Had a lot of the ball and not a lot of options ahead of him.

CONNOR GOLDSON – 5

I was surprised he played, thought he was a prime candidate to get an extra weeks rest. Should have had a penalty in the second half.

BORNA BARISIC - 5

Playing today would suggest the manager wants to give him at least the summer and pre-season to make a final decision on his future - especially with Croatia playing in the summer - but this performance wouldn't have helped. Let Burke go for the opener and caught on the wrong side for the penalty albeit it was very soft.

ANDY HALLIDAY - 5

This midfield 3 was always going to struggle against a Killie team who sit deep and let you have it. Halliday at left back with a more creative midfielder might have been better.

RYAN JACK - 6

Did very well for our equaliser but other than that and much like the rest of the team he turned in the same performance we've seen many times before against Killie. Just not capable of taking a game by the scruff of the neck.

GLEN KAMARA - 5

Can't be getting caught like that in midfield for Killie's opener. It was a poor ball from Worrall in the first place but he needs to just do what he's been doing - recycle it very well.

RYAN KENT – 7 MOTM

No Davis or Arfield meant Killie could afford to keep 2-3 men on him at any one time which stunted his impact quite considerably. Still our best attacking threat but against such a low block and with very little support he's always going to struggle.

DANIEL CANDEIAS – 5

Very unlucky not to hit the opener. Took the shot very well and kept it down but unfortunately not enough and it smacked the crossbar. Killie obviously ran up the park to score.

ALFREDO MORELOS - 7

Back in for probably his last appearance for the club and as usual it wasn't a quiet one! Looked absolutely desperate to get his 30th goal of the season and it duly arrived after some great play by Jack & Kent.

DAPO MEBUDE - 3

On for Candeias in a match I actually thought he would have started. Looks exactly like you would expect a modern wide forward to be. Hopefully he gets fully involved in preseason and we can start to get more academy recruits more tangible minutes next season.

JERMAINE DEFOE - 2

On for Halliday as we went to chase the winner. Only got 10 minutes and ultimately unsuccessful as Killie's late penalty gave them the win.

ANDY FIRTH - 2

Another debut, replacing the injured Foderingham in 83 minutes. Very very close to making himself a hero but couldn't quite keep Brophy's last minute penalty out the net.

STEVEN GERRARD - 6

You can't be too critical in a match we've literally preferred players to go on holiday rather than play, but at the same time certain players won't exactly have played their way into contention. A big summer where you'd imagine evolution and not revolultion will be on the agenda, as well as figuring out how to beat this low block!
