Adam returns with the match ratings from yesterday's terrible 1-0 loss away to Livingston.
ALLAN MCGREGOR - 6
Livi created the best chances in the game but McGregor didn't have a lot to do. Spread himself well for Pittman's early chance, no chance at the goal. Solid save in the second half too.
JAMES TAVERNIER - 5
Tried his best to force things but the lack of anything further forward hampered him. Should have done better with his chance in the first half.
JOE WORRALL - 5
Seen a huge amount of criticism of Worrall on and offline for yesterday's performance. Not something I agree with to be honest, while he wasn't anywhere near excellent I thought he done OK.
CONNOR GOLDSON - 5
Looked a bit shaky, got caught under the ball once or twice. Bad day at the office.
BORNA BARISIC - 5
Not a good day for the Croatian. Tried his best but just couldn't get going. Struggled from not having a recognised left winger to play off in the first half.
LASSANA COULIBALY - 4
Fairly anonymous in the first half and was hooked at half time. Not quite been at the races since his injury. Needless challenge to give away the foul that led to the goal.
SCOTT ARFIELD - 4
One outstanding defence splitting pass in the first half aside, Arfield was anonymous here. He should be controlling these games with ease, given his calibre. Need more from him. Lost his man in the build up to the goal.
OVIE EJARIA - 4
A half decent first half I thought, excellent lobbed ball through for Tav who couldn't make the most of it. Needs to learn when the pass the ball and not try and beat the 3rd defender in a row. Fell apart in the second half when we lost all structure to our play.
DANIEL CANDEIAS - 4
Surprised the manager singled Candeias out for praise in the after match interviews. I thought he just didn't get going all day, was surprised he lasted the full game. Has blown hot and cold this season so far, compared to last year. Also lost his man for the goal.
KYLE LAFFERTY - 4
Borderline anonymous throughout. Didn't use his physical presence enough and was starved of service from a midfield posted missing. Defensive headers were poor, being caught a few yards further back than the defensive line.
ALFREDO MORELOS - 4
When he's good he's great and when he's bad he plays like this. Constantly niggling the referee and opposition players and gave away a lot of frustrating free kicks.
RYAN KENT - 6 MOTM
Came on at half time and immediately looked like the only player who could create anything. The only player who wanted to get on the ball and make things happen. It didn't come off, but at least he showed a bit of heart unlike others.
GLENN MIDDLETON - 3
Not a game for a direct 18 year old winger for me. Livingston were camped in with such a low block that there was no way he could have been expected to get in behind.
STEVEN GERRARD - 5
I was relatively happy with how the manager lined the team line up pre-match but in hindsight it looks to have been a mistake. We sacrificed dominance on the flanks to try and match up to Livingston physically in attack. When your attackers then don't play anywhere near your potential and your midfield is posted missing, you're always going to struggle. He at least tried to change things with the introduction of Kent for Coulibaly but it's a concern that the players are capable of such a sub standard performance.
