Bizarrely, I was quite disappointed immediately after this game as I felt we could have possibly nicked it. I didn't feel like we were under siege at all in the game, despite being down to ten men which really shows how far we have come.
ALLAN MCGREGOR - 9 MOTM
There's a compilation of his saves this season going round Twitter just now and it misses out half of them due to the length of the video! He was incredible again on Thursday, one truly world class stop and a couple of very good ones. So crucial.
JAMES TAVERNIER - 6
When he's not rampaging forward it's very easy to say he had a poor game. We know his limitations as a defender and the best you can say is he didn't look out of place. Quieter night but players like him are always impacted more by going down to 10 men.
JOE WORRALL - 8
Looked a little shaky in the first half, I thought he was at fault for Ekambi's chance in real time but watching it back it was a terrible ball from Flanagan. Overall, he was superb.
CONNOR GOLDSON - 8
Another excellent performance, seems to have a great understanding with McGregor.
JON FLANAGAN - 6
Not as bad as he's been, which might not exactly be praise. A few terrible decisions aside, he did OK.
RYAN JACK - 7
Neat & Tidy as per usual, we could do with some more incision in midfield particularly when down to 10 men. Desperately need someone to carry the ball and alleviate pressure.
LASSANA COULIBALY - 6
Got himself about well, but his passing was erratic and he didn't have much of an influence.
SCOTT ARFIELD - 8
Terrific performance, our best midfielder by a long way this season. Bit more composure and he could have had an early goal.
GLENN MIDDLETON - 7
Going down to 10 men really had the most impact on Middleton as he had to play as a makeshift number 10/number 9 up top with Morelos. Was never going to have an impact in the air but plugged away trying in vain to hit on the break. Should have just held his run two seconds for his offside goal, but that type of decision making will come in time.
DANIEL CANDEIAS - 5
Usual buzz bomb of a shift in the 40 minutes he was on the park. I don't think we will appeal this one as it might result in a retrospective yellow for Morelos which would put him out of Vienna...
ALFREDO MORELOS - 7
He battled away feeding off scraps, making himself a nuisance and holding the ball up. Looked absolutely knackered late in the second half and it was a wise move to replace him when one booking would have resulted in a ban.
KYLE LAFFERTY - 4
Solid cameo, came on and got the crowd going with a 25 yard effort which drew a save from Fernandez.
ROSS MCCRORIE - 2
On at the death to waste some time.
STEVEN GERRARD - 8
The red card possibly killed any extended attacking play we hoped to have in the game. In saying that, I think had we stayed with 11 men on the park we may have ended up losing this one! Credit also to Michael Beale, that 4-3-2 we played against Aberdeen was used again today and it seems to work really well against 11 men.
