Match Ratings - Rangers 0 - 2 Aberdeen

ALLAN MCGREGOR - 7

You feel for him in games like this, must be so frustrating for him watching it all unfold - or not - in front of him. No chance at either goal.

JAMES TAVERNIER - 5

Full of endeavour but little quality on or off the ball.

JOE WORRALL - 7

Best player for what seems like the 10th game in a row.

CONNOR GOLDSON – 5

Third poor game in a row, needs a rest.

BORNA BARISIC - 5

Still looks terrified a little. Doesn't seem to have the support of the other players. They aren't passing to him - Kent in particular - and seemed to blame him over others for the second goal.

GLEN KAMARA - 5

Completely at fault for the first goal, that's a basic error he shouldn't be making. Tried to keep things moving but just wasn't on song at all. Also partially at fault for the second goal, should have been stronger winning the first ball.

RYAN JACK - 5

One of those poor performances that are more the norm than good ones. Offered very little and another who didn't cover himself in glory at the second goal, potentially being at fault twice in the build up.

SCOTT ARFIELD - 4

Awful performance, barely involved and again doesn't look fit. Rightfully hooked.

DANIEL CANDEIAS – 5

Candeias at his worst, nothing coming off. Just random runs and swings of his right foot.

RYAN KENT – 6

Looked dangerous in patches but we didn't get him on the ball enough. Seems to not want to use Barisic which makes it pretty obvious what he's going to do with the ball.

ALFREDO MORELOS - 5

Denigrated into petulance late on but was decent in the first half and should have had a penalty at 0-0. Unlucky with a late shot.

JERMAINE DEFOE - 3

Last throw of the dice at 2-0 down. We didn't give him anywhere near the service he needed and he therefore didn't offer very much.

KYLE LAFFERTY - 3

Double sub with Defoe, barely involved. Last thing we needed was to pump high balls at this defence.

STEVEN GERRARD - 4

As I've said elsewhere this was probably the 15th time a game like this has played out in this way. Was it a surprise Aberdeen would come and do this to us? Was there no alternative approach we could use after 8 months and close to 50 games?
