Match Ratings - Rangers 1 - 0 Hibs

ALLAN MCGREGOR - 5

Kept us in the match with a top drawer save then minutes later completely loses the head and tries to boot McNulty in the back. A moment of madness in a game that there was barely a tackle in, never mind any needle and will now miss the next two games and the first game of next season.

JAMES TAVERNIER - 7

Some terrific balls in during the first 20 minutes but quietened down a little after that in line with the rest of the team.

NIKO KATIC - 8

Another excellent performance from the big Croat and we even got a mazy run! Will go into next season absolutely brimming with confidence after his recent performances and rightly so.

CONNOR GOLDSON – 7

Been quiet & understated over the recent good run, reckon he's just trying to get through to the summer and get a long rest. First season back playing regularly after so long out will be taking it's toll on him.

JON FLANAGAN - 7

Just the epitome of no nonsense recently. Gets the job done with minimum fuss. Going forward we need better in this area as his attacking limitations will have an impact during more meaninful games but been solid.

STEVEN DAVIS - 8 MOTM

Top drawer once again, he has to have ran Arfield close for Player of the Month last month and he's picked up where he left off last season. Even popped up with a beautifully weighted assist for Defoe in the first half. A class act.

RYAN JACK - 6

Played a lovely lobbed through ball for Davis for the afore mentioned goal but other than that I thought he wasn't hugely involved. His quietest game in a while but still offering for the ball and keeping things moving.

GLEN KAMARA - 6

Similar to Jack, a bit more of a quieter game but never looked flustered & moved the Hibs midfield about very well.

RYAN KENT – 4

He looked below par to the extent I wasn't shocked that he didn't come out again at half time, being replaced by Candeias. Obviously the sickness bug had an impact.

SCOTT ARFIELD – 8

Brilliant again - this is probably his longest run of games without an injury and certainly his most consistent. His one touch play in those central attacking areas is terrific to watch - as is his link up with Defoe.

JERMAINE DEFOE - 7

Continuing to deliver the goods and it's good to see that the jersey is his to lose. Goal came at a crucial time and he'd have been delighted to get it after a couple of chances he should have buried over the last two games.

DANIEL CANDEIAS - 3

Came on for the ill Kent at half time and wasn't very good at all. Played a terrible pass through to Morelos who would have been clean through on goal and it summed up his day!

ALFREDO MORELOS - 4

Replaced Defoe with 15 minutes to go and as usual was involved in the thick of it. Could have potentially had a hat trick but for poor play by Candeias, the offside flag and a great stop by Marciano at the death.

ROSS McCRORIE - 7

5 extra marks for coming on and Super Keepering! He came on in 80 minutes to try and see out the win but inexplicably got handed the gloves when McGregor was sent off. Nearly got an assist for Morelos too but for a good save by his opposite number!

STEVEN GERRARD - 8

Dealt with the Morelos debate in his typical classy way. Defoe has the jersey and quite rightly too after his performances. Was honest in his assessment post match, we weren't quite as impressive as we've been in this run but at this stage of the season another win and a clean sheet is not to be sniffed at. All eyes on next Sunday now..
