So that’s week one in the bag in the Heart & Hand league on Fantasy Football Scotland’s game, and a big thank you to the 198 of you that have joined the league so far.
Entry to the league closes at 2.00pm on Saturday August 29th, so there’s still time for you to get involved by downloading the Fantasy Football Scotland app and registering your team with the league code 0r2gZ.
Top of the league after Gameweek One is Cameron Shaw with his team “Aribo Super Mix” with 89 points. Playing his triple captain with Odsonne Edouard was an inspired move that won 48 points on its own despite the obvious lack of Staunch points for triple captaining a Celtic player, however was also helped with a strong defensive display with his back three of Greg Taylor (7), Jeremie Frimpong (8) and Leon Balogun (7). The age old moral dilemma of picking Celtic players is demonstrated right from the off – is it possible to win the Fantasy league without picking their players?
Many other players also benefitted from triple captaining Celtic’s hat-trick scoring Edouard, although strong performances from the likes of new St Mirren signing Richard Tait (12), Hibs winger Martin Boyle (12) St Mirren keeper Jak Alnwick (7) and Kilmarnock winger Chris Burke (6) also helped propel teams to the top of the league.

With new Rangers signings Kemar Roofe (£7m) and Cedric Itten (£7.5m) available to transfer in for Gameweek Two, it’ll be interesting to see how many teams add these new additions to the database into their squads.
Also on the weekly Fantasy Football show on the Heart & Hand Patreon site – we are also running a predictor league based on the results from the SPFL Premiership matches. With 3 points awarded for an exact score, and 1 point for a correct result we had over 30 entries on Week One.
